Giveaway-Blog Candy!!!!

Hey Everyone! It's that time, as promised, I am going to give-away a copy of Permission To Mother to some lucky recipient!! Hurray for someone! As you all know I am Dr Punger's sister and so blessed to have her as my sister and my friend! The only unfortunate thing is that we don't live closer together.

Denise has always had a drive to be a doctor and it's amazing that from 2ND grade when she wrote a paper about it she never looked back! That is total dedication, I have so enjoyed getting to see the medical side of her through her book and her blog posts.

So now for the good stuff. I am going to pick one random person to win a copy of her book. All you have to do is either: Leave a comment stating... if you have read it-Your favorite part in the book Permission To Mother or What you hope to get out of reading it! Oh and feel free to write any other tidbits.....

I will draw a winner to be announced Thursday evening. Check back for the winner and be sure that if you are the winner you send me your shipping info so I can mail your prize to you... Stay tuned!

My favorite part of her book is the section about how she helped preserve my breastfeeding relationship with my son. When my baby was just 6 months old, my endocrinologist said I had to wean, but with Dr Punger's help we were able to keep breastfeeding. The details are in the book!

I am excited to read this book because attachment parenting has become a huge part of my life and the way I am choosing to raise my son. When I was pregnant, I was lucky to have a friend buy me a copy of Dr. Sears' "The Baby Book" which solidified for me that all of my parenting instincts were right on. I hope to read this book, learn some new things and pass it along to another pregnant mom.

I'd like a copy! I haven't read it- though I've requested that our local library get so I can. It's also on my Christmas list. I'd like to read some more about tandem nursing- this sounds like a good book for our AP bookclub.

Denise had wanted me to read her book during my recovery from surgery, but it wasn't until recently that I could sit long enough in a comfortable position to even be able to read.

She wanted me to read it so I could send in a review. I am going to see her tomorrow to get her her flour, oats and corn. Coincidence...I think not.

I read it right after it came out and would love to have a copy of it! I can't remember a favorite part right off, the story of her second labor and delivery with Bernadette as a doula stood out to me as it was starting the journey from the medical mindset....

I'd love a copy of this book. I'm a mom who practiced something like attachment parenting before they called it that. I breastfed all my kids and want to keep the mindset of that kind of parenting strong in my mind so I can encourage other moms as they travel the parenting path. By strengthening the relationship between parent and child, we can shape the future into a better place, one mamababy at a time ... how exciting is that?! -k.

I have not read it but I look forward to reading it...as we are looking forward to adopting, I think it would be a great addition if we get to start the baby years off again (it has been awhile).

I am surprised to say that the chapter on homeschooling or unschooling is what I liked the best!

Oh I hear ya about wishing you and your sister lived closer together. I have two wonderful sisters myself that I don't see near enough.

I have not read you sister's book yet. But hope to very soon. It has been in my Amazon favorites to order now every since I heard about it. But hey maybe I'll get lucky and not have to buy it;)

I don't have the book yet, but when I do get it I hope to get a sense of I'm-not-crazy-crunchy-and-alone in my parenting style. And then maybe *just maybe* I'll be able to pass it on to some of my friends who give me funny looks for nursing a three year old along with a newborn. :)

I would love to read this book! I love to read anything on parenting and will keep my fingers crossed! Perhaps I'll do what a few others have done and request a copy at the library! :)

I would love a copy of Permission to Mother. I am 5 months pregnant and crave inspiring birth stories as we embark on our journey of parenthood. I have a lot to learn and I am excited about mothering my child in Attachement Parenting philosophies.

I'd love for any of you to request your library to get a copy. Let me know if you do and if you are successful.

Anyone from Seminole County (Florida)? My mother brought a copy in to the libray. Hopefully it will be shelved soon.
